All recreational licenses expire August 31 annually.

It is illegal in Alabama for a non-resident with a valid driver's license to possess an Alabama driver's license or non-driver's ID card.
Non-residents age 16 years of age and over are required to have appropriate recreational licenses.
All license types and cost are set by legislation. There is no exemption for non-residents over 65 or discounted license for non-resident physically disabled or non-resident disabled veterans.
Most recreational licenses below can be purchased online, at your local Probate Office or License Commissioner, license agents, WFF District Offices or Montgomery Office and by calling 1-888-848-6887.
